Super Bowl 55 is nearing kickoff between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. FanDuel Sportsbook is taking more action on the Chiefs to capture the Lombardi Trophy. But winning Super Bowl MVP is a prestigous award, and a ton of players are available to bet on at FanDuel Sportsbook.
The latest Super Bowl MVP odds have QB's Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady favorites, and Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill and TE Travis Kelce as the top pass catchers to win MVP. But Chiefs WR Mecole Harman should not be overlooked at long odds.
Mecole Hardman Super Bowl MVP Odds
Mecole Hardman's odds to win MVP are +8500. But he's a value play considering the Buccaneers will focus more on Tyreek Hill after he burned the Bucs for 269 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in the Chiefs 27-24 Week 12 win.
But Harman had a solid season with 41 catches for 560 yards and 4 touchdowns. The second-year pro out of Georgia has more than 1,000 receiving yards and 11 total touchdowns in two seasons with the Chiefs. He's caught 6 passes for 62 yards and a touchdown in two playoff games this year.
Over his last five games, Hardman is tied for the third-highest target share on the team (12%) behind Kelce and Hill. As a deep threat, Hardman was third in air yards as well. But adding to Hardman's value as a potential Super Bowl MVP is that he's also the Chiefs kickoff and punt returner. Hardman returned one punt for a touchdown this season.
A big game on special teams combined with a touchdown or two receiving and Harman becomes a serious longshot Super Bowl MVP candidate.
