Entering the Divisional Round, the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson were the clear-cut favorites to win Super Bowl LIV, and the Super Bowl MVP award, respectively. Enter Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans.

With the AFC playoff picture now flipped on its head, Patrick Mahomes (+175) is favored to win Super Bowl LIV MVP, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, though Jimmy Garoppolo (+220) isn't too far behind.

Given that the Kansas City Chiefs (+130) and San Francisco 49ers (+140) currently have the best odds to win the Super Bowl, it should come as no surprise that their quarterbacks are so high in the Super Bowl MVP race.

Quarterbacks have won seven of the last 10 Super Bowl MVP awards, so Aaron Rodgers (+750) and Ryan Tannehill (+1200) check in with the third and fourth-best odds, respectively.

As for the non-QBs, Derrick Henry and George Kittle lead the pack for the skill-position players, as both are tied at +2000.

A tight end has notably never won the Super Bowl MVP award, while a running back hasn't won since Terrell Davis did it back in 1998.

But if there's anyone capable of bucking these historical trends, it's probably the guy who broke the single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end in 2018, and the RB who has rushed for 588 yards on 96 carries over the last three games.

Still, for now, it appears its a quarterback's award to lose.
