Back-to-back losses in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs have left a sour taste in the mouths of Pittsburgh Steelers fans. The team now enters a new phase, life after Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback. Fans are eager to know what the QB room will look like come September, and have their first look when the Seattle Seahawks visit in preseason action.

Pittsburgh will welcome Seattle to town at 7 p.m. ET. On Thursday, head coach Mike Tomlin stated his starting quarterback plans for the matchup. Plans that mirror what has been going down in training camp.

Steelers Quarterback

Veteran Mitchell Trubisky earns the nod after working with the first team throughout team drills and exercises. The 27-year-old was signed to a two-year deal this past offseason and owns a 29-21 record as a starter. Trubisky has also tossed 64 career touchdowns compared to 38 interceptions.

Next in line will be Mason Rudolph. This will be Rudolph's fourth season with the Steelers and he has started 10 games so far in his career (5-4-1 record). The Oklahoma State product has completed 61.5% of his pass attempts for 2,366 yards and 16 touchdowns (11 interceptions) in 17 games.

Fans in attendance will be glad to get their first glimpse at rookie Kenny Pickett as well. The first-round pick has been working as the third-stringer in practice after tallying 47 total touchdowns as a college senior. Seeing him improve throughout the preseason would be a step in the right direction.

The Steelers head into Saturday slated as a 3.5-point home favorite over the Seahawks with odds set at -170 on the moneyline, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The total is set at 36 points.
