The Pittsburgh Steelers have revealed their starting quarterback for Week 15, and Steelers fans probably aren't going to like it.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on Saturday that the Steelers are expected to start Mitch Trubisky at QB on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback News

Pittsburgh is starting Trubisky because it expects to be without Kenny Pickett, who is listed as doubtful for the contest with a concussion. Pickett suffered his second concussion of the season last week against the Baltimore Ravens and was forced to leave the game. The rookie signal-caller is still in concussion protocol as of Saturday, making him unlikely to suit up on Sunday.

Steelers fans were likely hoping that Pickett would be able to return in time, as Trubisky struggled in relief of him last week. Trubisky threw a season-high 3 interceptions, ultimately costing Pittsburgh a winnable game against a Ravens team that was missing Lamar Jackson.

The former No. 2 overall draft pick started four games for the Steelers earlier this season before giving way to Pickett, going 1-3 in those outings. The Steelers are just 2-4 when Trubisky has played this year, which isn't surprising given that he has more interceptions (5) than touchdown passes (4).

Trubisky will go for his first win as a starter since Week 1 in Carolina on Sunday. Pittsburgh is currently listed as a 3-point road underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
