The Pittsburgh Steelers have struggled with a 1-3 record in their past four games and are falling quickly out of hopeful playoff contention. To no surprise, this rough stretch has coincided with the absence of three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden, who has been out about a month with a foot injury.

Fortunately, the Steelers received a fantastic injury update on their veteran cornerback ahead of Week 15's clash with the Tennessee Titans.

Joe Haden Injury Update

Haden practice fully on Friday and reports suggest he'll be available to return in Week 15, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Pittsburgh's defense has been tough to gauge this season. The Steelers defensive unit surrenders the 11th-most points (24.8) per game and ranks a lowly 22nd in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA metric, but allow just 231.8 passing yards per game (13th).

There's no doubt that Haden's lockdown coverage and veteran leadership provides an immediate boost to the secondary. The 12-year NFL veteran still ranks top three on the team with 5 passes defended despite playing only 8 games.

Haden and the Steelers have an important task against the Titans in Week 15, a game in which Pittsburgh enters as 1-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook.
