The Pittsburgh Steelers' lackluster offense has played a key role in the team's underwhelming 7-8 record to this point. Executing at a high level and using players correctly have been issues throughout the year, putting the heat on offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

Now it appears a change on Mike Tomlin's staff may already be brewing.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ray Fittipaldo told 93.7 The Fan that a "change" is expected at offensive coordinator by the end of the season. Fittipaldo suggested it's already a done deal by saying, "The players know. The people inside the building know."

Canada has come under fire after leading a mediocre once again in Pittsburgh. Following ranks of No. 21 in points and No. 23 in yards last season, this unit has taken a step back, placing No. 29 in points and maintaining its same spot in yards.

The Steelers lacking a competent offense at times throughout the year has burned them, as they've dropped four games by 6 points or less in 2022. That's put this team on the verge of its first losing record during the Tomlin era and outside the playoff race in a season they could've been a legit Wild Card contender at the very least.

It appears Canada's days may be numbered in Pittsburgh. Hopefully the team is able to land a talented offensive mind that can take this unit to new heights if they do ultimately move on.
