Start Times for Guardians-Yankees AL Divisional Round Series Revealed

The New York Yankees will kick off their 2022 postseason against the Cleveland Guardians, who defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 2-0 in the inaugural American League Wild Card Series. The ALDS will be a best-of-five series between these two teams that are no strangers to each other.

The Yankees dominated the regular-season series against the Guardians this year, going 5-1 and outscoring them 38-14. Cleveland will have to step it up if they want to advance to the next round.

With the times set for the first two games of the series at Yankee Stadium, let's take a look at the schedule for the Guardians-Yankees ALDS matchup.

Guardians vs Yankees Playoff Schedule

Games 1 and 2 will both kick off at 7:37 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Thursday, Oct. 13. Both games will air on TBS.

Game 3 will be played in Cleveland on Saturday, Oct. 15, although the start time is still TBD. Game 4 (if necessary) will also be in Cleveland on Sunday, Oct. 16. If the series goes the distance, it will return to Yankee Stadium for Game 5 on Monday, Oct. 17.

Yankees Pitching Rotation for ALDS

As of now, the Yankees are slated to start Gerrit Cole in Game 1 of the ALDS, followed by Nestor Cortes in Game 2 and Luis Severino in Game 3.

Guardians Pitching Rotation for ALDS

The Guardians plan to start Cal Quantrill in Game 1 against Cole, followed by Shane Bieber in Game 2 and Triston McKenzie in Game 3.

Guardians vs Yankees ALDS Odds

New York is listed as the favorite to win the series on FanDuel Sportsbook's latest MLB odds at -220, while Cleveland is the underdog at +182. The Yankees are also favored to win Game 1 at -230 odds, whereas the Guardians are +190 underdogs for the series opener.

New York has the fourth-best odds to win the World Series at +490, while Cleveland has the worst World Series odds of the remaining teams at +1600.
