The Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues will kick off their second-round series on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. EST with the Blues sitting at -160 home favorites in Game 1, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

As it's always smart to hear what those in the industry have to say before placing a bet, here are some expert predictions for Game 1 between the Stars and Blues.

Stars vs Blues Game 1 Predictions

Cappers Picks

Clinton Bell, of Cappers Picks, expects Dallas to steal the opening game on the road. Bell thinks the shorter rest for the Stars will actually provide added momentum for Dallas in Game 1. He also points to Stars' goaltender, Ben Bishop, as a potential X factor and is taking Dallas to win, 2-1.

Betting Finder

Betting Finder's Albert Smith thinks that Dallas has what it takes to win on the road, but doesn't think that it will happen in Game 1. Smith said he thinks the extra rest for St. Louis will keep them fresh in this matchup and is taking the Blues to win straight up.

Sports Chat Place

Sports Chat Place also notes that the Blues have had more time to rest, but that he thinks the regular-season series should be telling for these two teams. Since the Stars won three of the four matchups, Sports Chat Place is going with Dallas to win on the road in this one.

That's two experts going with the Stars to steal Game 1 on the road with one picking the Blues to take a 1-0 lead at home.
