The Texas Longhorns are experiencing some roster shakeups with the season coming to a close and the team sitting at a moderate 5-3 record. Tackle Sam Cosmi and defensive back Caden Sterns have both opted out of Texas' last two games to begin prep for the upcoming NFL Draft.

Longhorns QB Sam Ehlinger respects his teammates' decisions, but he's planning to see the season out, no matter how it ends.

With Ehlinger as a senior and not someone at the top of mock drafts, it's not a surprise that the QB wants to finish out his last college season strong.

Ehlinger has enjoyed success after stepping in as quarterback of the Longhorns in 2017 as a freshman. Texas has won each of its last three bowl games with Ehlinger under center, including a Sugar Bowl win in 2018.

Ehlinger has put up great numbers in his senior season, ranking 15th in the nation in yards (2,132) and tied for seventh in touchdown throws (23). He also leads the team in rushing yards with 388.

It's fitting that Ehlinger will give his all until his final snap in a Longhorn uniform. He'll look to finish his college career with four straight bowl game victories.

Texas will take on Kansas State in their penultimate game of the season this week.
