The New Orleans Saints are trying to keep their heads above water while injuries ravage the roster. The team's performance on Thursday night showed how much talent this roster has lost in recent weeks.

And now the latest update on Deonte Harris' possible suspension is another cause for concern.

Deonte Harris Suspension

The Saints knew a suspension could come after Harris was sentenced to probation for a DUI charge from this past offseason. Harris has now officially been handed a three-game suspension by the league, but he's appealing the punishment.

Harris was able to play in Thursday's game due to the appeal, and there's a chance he'll be able to play in Week 13 as well, depending on how long the process takes. But the suspension is considered almost a guarantee at this point, which would make this team even thinner at wide receiver.

Michael Thomas' season-ending injury has led to multiple Saints wideouts carrying the load at times. Harris has turned 45 targets this year into 27 receptions, 427 yards and 2 TDs. He's also racked up 591 yards on 25 kickoff returns.

Harris could miss crucial games down the stretch as New Orleans fights for a playoff spot if his suspension is upheld.
