The New Orleans Saints will want to turn the page quickly on a brutal loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. Leading by two points late in the fourth quarter, the Saints could not milk the clock out ahead of a thrilling Ja'Marr Chase 60-yard TD.
Unfortunately, turning the page won't be so easy after some injury news around Marshon Lattimore, Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry was revealed Monday morning.
According to team insider Jeff Duncan, the team does not expect any of these three important players to be ready in time for Week 7's Thursday Night Football clash with the Arizona Cardinals. Chris Olave is viewed with more optimism.
The passing game was inexistent with absences from Thomas, Landry and Olave. New Orleans posted a brutal 171 passing yards, but the running attack showed up in full force. The Saints collected 228 yards on the ground thanks to a 99-yard performance from Alvin Kamara, 46 yards from Mark Ingram and a 44-yard scamper by Rashid Shaheed.
Lattimore continues to deal with an abdominal injury that kept him sidelined in Week 6.
Saints fans will want to pay close attention to the injury report before Thursday. The Cardinals allow the 13th-most rushing yards to opponents this season, but it's hard to expect back-to-back weeks with 200+ rushing yards performances.
New Orleans is an early 1.5-point road underdog per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
