VIDEO: Jameis Winston’s Speech at Kids Camp Will Get Saints Fans Fired Up

Jameis Winston went from college star, Heisman Trophy winner, national champion and No. 1 NFL Draft pick to a backup QB with the New Orleans Saints in 2020.
Surely his career hasn't panned out exactly as he had dreamed when he began the journey in Tampa on draft night, but it hasn't been a failure either. Judging by Jameis' speech to a kids football camp, maybe his path has provided him with some valuable perspective.
Playing the backup role behind one of the game's all-time greats in 2020 in Drew Brees, Winston seems as mature and focused as ever. He heads into year two with the Saints, poised to compete for the starting role alongside Taysom Hill.
And Saints fans will love the mindset the former Florida State star is in.

That's exactly the type of guy you want leading your franchise and quarterbacking your team. No one has ever questioned Winston's talent or ability. His decision making on and off the field? Sure. But never his talent.
If anyone can get the best out of Jameis on and off the field from here on out, it's Sean Payton and the Saints. And it sounds like that process is already taking effect.
