For a talent that's never somehow never received a single NFL MVP vote in his impressive career, Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson is already steamrolling down a warpath to win this year's award for most valuable player in the NFL.

Wilson and his Seahawks defeated Bill Belichick's new-look New England Patriots and Cam Newton in exciting fashion with a goal-line stop on the final play, 35-30. That final was largely thanks to Wilson's work in particular as well, as he went 21-for-28 for 288 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.

Russell Wilson MVP Odds

After opening the 2020 NFL season tied with Lamar Jackson +700 for the second-best odds to win MVP, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, Wilson has climbed into sole possession of the best odds to win it at +250 after his Week 2 performance.

Jackson has also improved his own odds, but only up +500, which has now left him in a second-place tie for the best odds to win MVP with Patrick Mahomes. Behind that duo, Dak Prescott and Kyler Murray have also improved to a tie for the fourth-best odds at +1000 each.

Through just two weeks, Wilson has combined for nine TD passes (No. 1 in the NFL), 610 passing yards (No. 5 in NFL) and an insane .825 completion percentage on 52-of-63 passing (No. 1 in the NFL among passers with at least two attempts).
