The Kansas City Royals have the best record in baseball. MLB.com's power rankings have them at No. 7 in the majors. They've won five straight.

And they still can't get the love they deserve.

FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds have the 14-7 Royals ranked third in the AL Central with just +550 odds to win the division.

That doesn't just put them third, it puts them a distant third. The 12-9 White Sox are still being given better than a 50% chance to win the AL Central with -125 odds, and the 7-14 Twins, who are a full 7.0 games back of the Royals, are at +250.

The season is obviously young, and this isn't to say the Royals should be welcomed as one of the MLB's elite just yet. As a team their .304 weighted on-base average (wOBA) is tied for 14th in the majors, while their pitching staff's 3.67 FIP ranks No. 9.

Those are still kind of middle-of-the-pack marks, but ranking above average in both showcases how well rounded this squad is.

There's no way they should still be +550 underdogs in the AL Central.
