The Atlanta Braves began the 2022 MLB season without star outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. as he works his way back from a torn ACL suffered last July. The 2021 All-Star has made great progress in his recovery and things are going swimmingly during his current rehab stint in the minors.

As long as no setbacks pop up, the Braves have a target date in mind for potential Acuña's return to the lineup.

Ronald Acuña Return Date

Manager Brian Snitker said Saturday evening that Acuña could make his return to Atlanta on May 6. The situation remains fluid, and that's not a guarantee this far out, but it remains a real possibility.

Confirmation that Acuña could be back with the team in less than two full weeks is incredibly exciting news for Braves fans. He last played in an MLB game on July 10 and unfortunately missed Atlanta's World Series run, so it's been too long since he's last lit it up on the diamond.

Judging by Acuña's recent stint in Triple-A, he looks full of confidence coming off of a major injury, which is great to see.

Hopefully the 24-year-old continues to enjoy a setback-free rehab assignment and makes his return to Atlanta in early May. The Braves could certainly use a spark after starting the year 7-9.
