Wide receiver Robby Anderson remains one of the unsung heroes of the fantasy football world after his first 1,000-yard season in 2020. The Carolina Panthers wideout quietly finished as the No. 19 WR across PPR leagues last year and heads into the fall with an opportunity to keep his success going.

Anderson's 2021 fantasy outlook comes with a lot of consistency and reliability. He should be able to post WR2 numbers once again, but the emergence of fellow WR D.J. Moore limits his upside.

Anderson was an exciting part of an otherwise underwhelming Panthers offense last season. The six-year pro hauled in 95 of his career-high 136 targets for 1,096 yards and 3 touchdowns. In fact, his catch percentage of 69.9% was over 14% higher than his mark in any of the four previous years.

Carolina mixed it up this offseason by trading away quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and acquiring Sam Darnold to be the starter. Anderson had to be happy about this as he played with Darnold for two seasons on the New York Jets and the two built an obvious connection on deep passing plays.

The only thing keeping Anderson from becoming a WR1 is the fact that he lines up alongside Moore. He has improved his production with every NFL season and outscored Anderson last season. It's possible Moore becomes the security blanket for a turnover-prone QB in Darnold.

Anderson's average draft position is 90.0 overall and WR34 in PPR leagues, according to FantasyPros. All things considered, fantasy managers should feel comfortable drafting him to take on a WR2 or FLEX spot in the lineup every single week assuming he stays healthy.

Anderson checks in as the WR31 in The Duel's 2021 fantasy football rankings.
