Rays Get Great News on Taylor Walls Injury Update

After the Tampa Bay Rays traded starting shortstop Willy Adames to the Milwaukee Brewers, fans wondered who would take over in the infield. The answer originally came in the form of Taylor Walls, despite the many calls for baseball's top prospect Wander Franco.
But, after only 27 games, Walls went down with right wrist tendinitis and forced the Rays' hand. Walls, the 24-year-old slick defender, missed just over two weeks before the Rays recently reinstated him from the 10-day injured list on Saturday.

Taylor Wall Injury Update
It's pretty clear that Franco will remain the everyday option at shortstop. Fortunately for Walls, Franco is a multi-position player and should afford him some playing time at the MLB level.
In 81 at-bats this season, Walls racked up 1 home run and 7 RBIs in addition to 3 stolen bases and 6 doubles.
The Rays sit in second place in the AL East with a 47-35 overall record, trailing the Boston Red Sox by 4.5 games. Tampa Bay also owns the seventh-best odds (+1400) in baseball to win the World Series, according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
