Rookie wide receiver Rashod Bateman was one of many Baltimore Ravens players bit by the injury bug this preseason. Bateman landed on the injured reserve list after groin surgery, though the procedure wasn't expected to sideline him for an extended amount of time.

Head coach John Harbaugh provided a great update on the promising receiver to start the week.

Rashod Bateman Return

Bateman will practice leading up the team's Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos. This is a positive sign that indicates the rookie is right on track to return soon, barring any setbacks.

Bateman will slot in as a perfect third receiving threat in an improved corps that features Sammy Watkins and Marquise Brown. The 6-foot-2 pass-catcher racked up 147 receptions for 2,395 yards and 19 TDs in three years at Minnesota.

Bateman's status will be a huge story to monitor in the lead up to Sunday's game. The Ravens are 1-point road underdogs against Denver, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
