Rashaad Penny Fantasy Football Outlook Clouded by Questionable Status Ahead of Week 6
By Zach Brunner
After extra time to rest following last week's Thursday night game, Seattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny is listed as questionable for his Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, reportedly due to "a hamstring thing," according to head coach Pete Carroll.
The second-year running back made his return to the field last week after missing two straight weeks with a previous hamstring injury, which is why him being listed on the injury report with the same ailment is concerning.
However, after logging full practice reps Friday, many are still optimistic about Penny's status for this week, with the mention on the injury report simply being precautionary.
Penny totaled eight touches in his return the field in last week's game against the Los Angeles Rams, averaging just 3.0 yards per carry but totaling 31 yards through the air. He has big-play potential every time he touches the football, which has helped him retain a semblance of fantasy relevance through a rocky start to the 2019 season.
If Penny is at all limited or inactive, it would be to the benefit of lead back Chris Carson, who is listed as RB14 in our weekly PPR rankings.
