Players to Drop for Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups in Fantasy Football

12 weeks of the 2021 campaign are already in the books. The fantasy football playoff picture is starting to shape up, and bye weeks are here. You can't afford to waste any roster space.
Every waiver wire pickup is crucial at this stage, and knowing how to make roster space for those adds is key.
Week 13 Waiver Wire
You don't want to cut ties with high-upside players, but you also don't want duds hanging around taking up valuable bench space.
Fantasy Football Players to Drop
With that in mind, here are three players, all rostered in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues, that you can drop to make space for Week 13 wavier wire pickups.
1. Zack Moss, RB, Buffalo Bills
Zack Moss is out and Matt Breida is in. Moss played a season-low 16 snaps and saw just 3 carries in Week 11 before being made a healthy scratch in Week 12. Matt Breida played 32% of the Buffalo Bills' offensive snaps in each of those last two games, notching 6 and 11 touches. Devin Singletary is still the leader in this backfield for now, but it's clear that Moss isn't a significant piece of the Bills' offensive gameplan moving forward.
2. Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers
Week 11 was a lot of fun, but Cam Newton imploded in Week 12 with one of the worst passing performances in NFL history. He will get a decent matchup in Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons, but he's not nearly an exciting enough fantasy play to be worth stashing through his Week 13 bye, especially because after the falcons he gets back-to-back tough matchups against the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
3. Mike Davis, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Cordarrelle Patterson returned to action in Week 12 and handled the biggest rushing workload of his career (16 carries). The Atlanta Falcons clearly trust him as a true running back, and that really erases Mike Davis' fantasy upside. A win against the Jacksonville Jaguars is just about the most Davis-friendly spot the Falcons can find themselves in, and he still had just 5 carries. He didn't see much work (7 opportunities) when Patterson was out in Week 11, so there's not even handcuff value here.
