The Philadelphia Phillies are trying to hang strong in the NL East as their clubhouse battles injuries. Tuesday's game brought more bad news on that front with Jean Segura and Bryce Harper both exiting early.

It turns out Segura is headed to the injured list once again.

Jean Segura Injury

The Phillies second baseman was officially placed on the 10-day IL due to a groin injury, but he has the potential to miss more time. Segura has been given as long as a three-week timetable to make a return, which would be a blow to Philadelphia's lineup.

Segura has racked up 3 home runs, 20 RBI and 6 stolen bases this season while slashing .332/.379/.465. He previously missed time this year after a quad injury.

The Phillies could be without Segura for close to a month as they look to stay in the playoff race. They currenly own +900 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook to win the NL East.
