Golf Predictions This Week
But while the AT&T Pebble Beach favorites take more betting action on FanDuel Sportsbook, here are three players to watch with longer golf odds who could top the leaderboard come Sunday and offer additional payouts in the top finishing position and prop market.
Golfers to Watch
1. Greyson Sigg (+9000)
This PGA Tour rookie is one to watch, and he's hitting the ball beautifully to start the year. Sigg should enjoy more success on the shorter courses with more tactical play and his ball striking strength showing if the winds become a factor off the Pacific coast. Sigg has gained strokes Tee-to-Green and on Approach in three straight events to start the year, and a top-20 finish (+450) is coming soon.
2. Chez Reavie (+9000)
Chez Reavie has a better chance for a top-10 finish (+850) this week as a veteran longshot who hits it accurately. Reavie finished T2 in this event in 2018, T25 in 2020 and T16 last year following a poor opening round of 74. He also was the first round leader in 2016 after shooting 63 at Pebble Beach. With a tougher layout and conditions in the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach, Reavie finished T3. Over his last 36 rounds, Reavie is top 5 in this field in Strokes Gained Approach, and top 15 in Ball Striking and Tee-to-Green. While his putting is a real weakness, he's average on Tour putting on Poa annua which is on all three courses this week.
3. Jason Day (+1700)
If you're feeling like you need to include and bet on a favorite, then Jason Day is the most consistent performer to count on in this event. Day heads to Monterey in good form off a T3 place finish at last week's Farmers Insurance Open and just one shot out of the playoff. The Aussie has been awesome in this event over the past five years with five straight top-seven finishes. He's also one of the top players in this field in Strokes Gained: Total stats on courses less than 7,200 yards. Day's Around the Green stats are among the best on Tour, and his putting has always been a strength and was his best last week gaining nearly 4-strokes. A top-five finish returns +380.
