The Las Vegas Raiders quietly had a tremendous offseason. They added some talented skill-position players in Henry Ruggs and Bryan Edwards, while also addressing needs on the other side of the ball by adding Corey Littleton and Maliek Collins.

Even with that significant influx of talent, though, Raiders fans will likely be pleasantly surprised to see where their team landed in Peter King's latest power rankings.

King put the Raiders at No. 8 overall in his latest power rankings. That's the second-highest spot among all teams in the AFC West, trailing only the No. 1-ranked Kansas City Chiefs, and it's quite a bit higher than the Denver Broncos (No. 20) and Los Angeles Chargers (No. 23).

King's opinion is certainly not shared by the oddsmakers, however. FanDuel Sportsbook puts the Raiders at +1200 to win the AFC West – the worst such odds in the division. Interestingly, the Chargers have the second-best odds (+700) and the Broncos narrowly edge out the Raiders at +1100. Obviously, the Chiefs are favored (-390).

With all the improvements made in the offseason, it wouldn't be too much of a shock to see the Raiders take a huge step forward in 2020. And if King's rankings are any indication, the team's inaugural campaign in Las Vegas could get off to a fantastic start.
