The biggest story leading up to the Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs AFC Championship game is the injury status of KC's superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes made an early exit in the Divisional Round game against the Cleveland Browns, and while he's in the concussion protocol, Mahomes' injury doesn't necessarily sound like a concussion.
Patrick Mahomes Injury Update
Mahomes got in some practice on Wednesday, which is a great sign that he will be available for the Chiefs on Sunday. Whatever the actual ailment he's dealing with is, he's not experiencing any symptoms, and as long as that continues as he ramps up his workload, then he should be okay to play.
Mahomes threw for 4,740 yards with 38 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions in the regular season, and he went 21-of-30 for 255 yards with a touchdown before leaving Sunday's game.
His presence will be crucial for the Chiefs' Super Bowl chances, and the betting markets seem to expect him to play.
