Parris Campbell Injury Update Boosts Week 14 Fantasy Outlook vs Buccaneers

Parris Campbell has been sidelined since Week 9 after undergoing surgery on a fractured hand, but he's practicing in full this week, positioning him well to offer some big fantasy upside in a Week 14 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Campbell returns with perfect timing to step into a big role in the Indianapolis Colts' offense. T.Y. Hilton is looking unlikely to play this week, and his most recent injury update didn't exactly give cause for optimism about his status for the rest of the fantasy football playoffs either. Eric Ebron is also on IR now, and the duo vacates 104 of the Colts' 372 targets this season.
Zach Pascal saw a big boost with those two out in Week 13, receiving a season-high 10 targets, but Campbell's return should cut into that workload.
Campbell's last healthy game came in Week 9, with Hilton out, and he played 61 percent of the snaps and saw five targets. Pascal played more snaps (94 percent) but only saw one more target in that one.
The usually run-heavy Colts should also be able to generate more production through the air this week than we're used to seeing. The Bucs rank No. 1 against the run in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metrics, but they check in at 19th against the pass. They're also allowing the NFL's most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts.
Parris Campbell’s (hand) first full practice in over a month suggests he’ll be thrusted into three-wide sets with Zach Pascal and Marcus Johnson on Sunday. Ashton Dulin and Chad Williams also available.https://t.co/L1nNh0axCj

It's still hard to fully trust Campbell in his return this week, and he doesn't crack the top 36 wideouts in our Week 14 PPR fantasy football rankings. Pascal checks in at WR29.
If you're in a pinch at WR and looking for some big-play upside, though, Campbell can serve as a solid boom-or-bust starter for the week.
