Panthers Fans Will Love Review of Sam Darnold-Christian McCaffrey Workouts

There's optimism surrounding Sam Darnold following his trade to the Carolina Panthers. The flashes of talent that were suppressed by the New York Jets' dysfunction could shine through this season in an offense headlined by Christian McCaffrey.

It turns out Darnold and McCaffrey have already linked up to get on the same page. And the early reviews are glowing.

Darnold and McCaffrey worked out last week in southern California, per NBC Sports' Peter King. Darnold's offseason QB coach, Jordan Palmer, could already see a connection being formed between the two players.

“You could see the communication and chemistry being built already. They’re on the same page about a lot of things already. For Sam, that’s 20-plus snaps every game where the quarterback doesn’t have to manufacture a play.”

It's great news for Panthers fans that these two important parts of the offense are already building chemistry with one another. It could foreshadow the bounce-back season that everyone is hoping from Darnold following a change of scenery.

The former No. 3 pick will not only have an incredible dual-threat in CMC to turn to. Receiving options like D.J. Moore, David Moore, Robby Anderson and Dan Arnold all will be at his disposal.

With that collection of talent around him, plus a possible top offensive tackle incoming with the No. 8 pick, it's not hard to see how this could be a career year for Darnold.
