Losers of six of their last seven games, the Carolina Panthers are a team that desperately needs its star running back on the field as soon as possible. Although, as Christian McCaffrey was working his way back from a shoulder injury, it was revealed on Wednesday that he is now also dealing with a thigh injury.

Something head coach Matt Rhule said McCaffrey tweaked last week, and that flared up again today, will now keep him as a limited participant in practice for the time being.

How this will affect his status moving forward is not yet clear, but it certainly isn't a good sign. The Panthers are currently 3.5-point home favorites against the Denver Broncos in Week 14, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
