Packers Potential 17th Opponent Revealed Following 2021 NFL Schedule Change
By Max Staley

The NFL is gearing up to make a significant change to the 2021 schedule, adding a 17th game to the usual 16-game slate for each team. There won't be any added bye weeks, meaning players will now be asked to play 17 games in 18 weeks. It's still not official quite yet, but at this point, it would be surprising if it wasn't implemented in 2021.
The NFL had an established formula for creating the schedule each year, so the league had to find a new method to account for the extra 17th game. It's a rather confusing process, which Peter King went into detail on here. But we now have a sense on who each team will be playing in this extra game, though we still don't know when everything will occur.

And the most exciting matchup of the bunch is arguably the potential meeting between the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead.
Packers-Chiefs 2021
This would be an anticipated matchup under pretty much any circumstances, but it's even more interesting because of what happened back in 2019. Fans were supposed to be treated to the first-ever Aaron Rodgers-Patrick Mahomes duel, but a knee injury kept Mahomes sidelined in that one.
Assuming all goes as planned, it looks like fans will finally get to see two of the NFL's most electric QBs going head to head in 2021.
Kansas City owns a 7-4-1 all-time record against Green Bay, but the Packers did beat the Chiefs, 31-24, back in that 2019 matchup.
This is shaping up to be one of the best games on the NFL's 2021 schedule. And if the extra games look anything like this one, fans are going to absolutely love the NFL's new 17-game schedule.
