The Green Bay Packers captured a thrilling overtime victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. Aaron Rodgers finally found a groove with his offensive weapons and the Packers defense forced two crucial turnovers.
One of the biggest changes heading into Week 10 was the unofficial role of coach Aubrey Pleasant. Pleasant, a former Detroit Lions assistant coach, worked with Matt LaFleur on the offensive game plan. Now this advisor role has turned permanent.
Packers insider Rob Demovsky reported Monday that the team officially hired Pleasant as an assistant coach.
His previous role with the Lions was defensive pass game coordinator/defensive backs coach. Pleasant worked to provide LaFleur a defensive perspective to his offensive playbook and will be brought on for full-time duties. The two worked together previously with the Los Angeles Rams.
