Quarterback controversy has been the talk of the town for the Green Bay Packers this offseason. Regardless, this team marches on with Aaron Rodgers under center and hopes to repeat the successes of last year's 13-3 regular season finish. But, one NFL insider believes the 2021 schedule won't be too forgiving in Green Bay.

According to ESPN's Mike Clay, the Packers own the league's ninth-most difficult schedule in 2021. It should be noted that the order of games has not been set, but based on the current construction of the league's yearly schedule, the opponents Green Bay will face are already known.

Packers Schedule 2021

Clay used known opponents and the current construction of league rosters to come up with his strength of schedule projection. Although this projection is based on a random order of games, all of Green Bay's opponents are set and their schedule is loaded with talent from the NFC West and AFC North.

Last year, things on offense went a little different than we're used to seeing. Green Bay employed a lethal running attack that ranked eighth in the league with 132.4 yards per contest. The passing attack was also in top form and ranked top 10 in the league. Green Bay's defense was another top-10 unit in the entire NFL and this balanced team ran through the 2020 campaign with 13 wins.

Unfortunately, Green Bay's 2021 schedule won't allow any room for error. The Packers will travel to New Orleans and San Francisco to take on the Saints and 49ers. In total, Green Bay will face 10 opponents from last year's playoff field.

As it stands, FanDuel Sportsbook is giving the Packers +1700 odds to win the Super Bowl.
