Ohio State Odds to Win the Big Ten Climbing Ahead of Season

When someone thinks about the Big Ten Conference in college football, it's hard not to think of the Ohio State Buckeyes. After all, the Buckeyes have won 11 conference championships since 2005 and hold the second-most Big Ten titles in college football history with 39 — trailing only Michigan (42).
Fortunately for Buckeyes fans, there's a good chance that the team will achieve its 40th conference title in 2021. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Ohio State is favored to win the 2021 Big Ten Championship at -220 odds. That's a slight improvement over the -200 that was given to the Buckeyes back in May.

Ohio State Big Ten Championship Odds
At +600, the Wisconsin Badgers have the second-best odds on FanDuel Sportsbook's list. Meanwhile, the Penn State Nittany Lions and Iowa Hawkeyes sit in a tie for third at +900 odds.
Nevertheless, it shouldn't seem too surprising to see the Buckeyes at the top of the list. They've won the last four Big Ten Championships in a row and were finalists in last year's National Championship Game. Unfortunately, Ohio State didn't walk away with the championship as they were blown out by the Alabama Crimson Tide, 52-24. Still, a loss like that could motivate any team into trying to make sure that the upcoming season ends on a better note.
Like most highly-touted collegiate programs, the Buckeyes lost some important pieces in the 2021 NFL Draft earlier this year — with six players being selected within the first three rounds alone. One of those was QB Justin Fields, who was taken 11th overall by the Chicago Bears. Still, Ohio State has one of the best recruitment track records in all of college football, so they should have no issue replacing any lost players.
As it stands, Ohio State has the fourth-best odds at +600 to win the 2021 National Championship, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, trailing only Alabama (+250), Clemson (+400) and Georgia (+500).
