The National League MVP race has held tight throughout the regular season. As MLB teams head into the final week of the regular season, a trio has emerged on top of the latest NL MVP odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper is now the leading favorite with -220 odds, and he continues to widen the gap over San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (+240). Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto rounds out this trio with +1000 odds.

Harper has been a staple of consistency for the Phillies, playing in 133 of 152 possible games and smashing baseballs all over the place. The former MVP ranks in the top five of NL hitting categories including first in OPS (1.051), runs created (127), and extra base hits (73), second in OBP (.431) and doubles (39), and third in offensive WAR (6.3) and batting average (.314).

This current lead in the NL MVP odds can be partly attributed to Philadelphia's play down the stretch. Neither the Phillies nor Tatis Jr.'s Padres are likely to steal a postseason berth, but Philadelphia is above .500 in the second half compared to the Padres' 23-35 record.
