NL Cy Young Odds Heavily Favor Corbin Burnes Over Carlos Rodon on FanDuel Sportsbook

The National League is full of pitchers capable of carrying their team to a victory with a quality start on the mound. The dominance of one player has kept him atop the NL Cy Young odds, though. Milwaukee Brewer's Corbin Burnes remains the man to beat after winning the award in 2021 as well.

Burnes leads all candidates with odds set at +350 to go back-to-back, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The 27-year-old leads the league in both innings pitched (51.2) and strikeouts (62) across his first eight starts. He also owns a respectable 2.26 ERA and 0.83 WHIP on the season.

Carlos Rodon checks in at a distant second with odds set at +650. The first-year San Francisco Giant has adjusted to his new home well, posting a 4-2 record and 3.49 ERA through seven starts. He also leads the NL averaging 13.0 strikeouts per nine innings pitched in what has been an impressive year.

Of course, New York Mets' Max Scherzer entered the 2022 season as a co-favorite alongside Burnes, but a recent oblique injury will have him sidelined for 6-8 weeks. Meanwhile, 2021 runner-up Zack Wheeler has rebounded nicely after a rough start and is tied for the ninth-best odds (+2500).
