Nick Bosa Provides Positive Injury Update

When the San Francisco 49ers lost talented edge rusher Nick Bosa to a torn ACL in just Week 2 of the 2020 season, it was an omen for more bad injury news to come. But, the 49ers head into 2021 with a fresh start and thankfully, Bosa returns in full health.
The 2019 Defensive Rookie of the Year spoke to reporters on Thursday night and provided an amazing injury update. He'll be ready to go for San Francisco's Week 1 slate against the Detroit Lions, and "fully confident to play as many snaps" as he needs to.

Nick Bosa Injury Update
Throughout camp, reports suggested that Bosa will be ready for Week 1, but hearing it from his own mouth is an extra boost of confidence for 49ers fans.
“There’s really no pitch count for me. I’m just going to go whenever [defensive line coach] Kris [Kocurek] tells me."
- Nick Bosa
Bosa's absence was sorely missed by the defensive front last year. San Francisco went from a team that finished top-5 in sacks (48) in 2019 to the 11th fewest in the league last year (30). The 49ers also saw their pressure percentage drop more than six points from 28.7% to 22.6%.
The prolific pass-rusher enters his third NFL season with career totals of 9.0 sacks, 26 quarterback hits, 16 tackles for loss and 2 forced fumbles across 18 games.
With Bosa back in the lineup, among some other important defensive pieces returning from injury, the 49ers enter the year as one of the Super Bowl favorites. San Francisco is tied for the fifth-best Super Bowl odds (+1500) on FanDuel Sportsbook.
