49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has made it clear – he doesn't want to play in San Francisco. At this rate, it feels like we're just days away from Deebo recreating this iconic Eric Bledsoe tweet.
While San Francisco has seemed unwilling to trade Deebo thus far, FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL Draft odds suggest the 49ers aren't exactly confident that the two sides will reach an agreement.
49ers NFL Draft Odds
FanDuel Sportsbook's team specials suggest San Francisco is targeting a wide receiver with its first pick of the draft. FanDuel puts the 49ers at +145 to draft a WR first. If it's not a wideout, the oddsmakers think it'll likely be a cornerback, as that position group has the second-best odds at +250. Offensive line (+340), defensive line (+430) and safety (+650) round out the rest of the top five.
With all the drama surrounding Deebo right now, these odds hardly come as a surprise. If Samuel isn't in the lineup, Brandon Aiyuk is the only wide receiver opposing defenses would have to worry about. No offense to Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud, but they're not really guys that defenses need to game plan for.
And even after breaking the bank for Charvarius Ward, cornerback stands out as a real need as well. There's just not much depth in the secondary behind Emmanuel Moseley and Ward.
Even with an unproven, second-year QB, and needs at two premium positions, FanDuel Sportsbook still gives the 49ers +1600 odds to win it all this year (T-No. 6 in the NFL).
