NFL Draft Odds 2021: Over/Under Indicates Several Cornerbacks Could Be Selected in Round 1 on FanDuel Sportsbook

While a lot of football fans and experts are projecting how many quarterbacks and offensive linemen are taken in Round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft, there's a good chance that we could see several cornerbacks taken early on too.
FanDuel Sportsbook has set the over/under for how many cornerbacks are taken in Round 1 this month at 5.5, favoring the under in this situation at -260 odds. On the other hand, the over sits at +194 odds.
Recent history has shown that the number of cornerbacks taken in the first round can really fluctuate from one draft to the next. For example, there were three cornerbacks taken in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft and six in 2020, but just one in 2019.
So I am reading @dpbrugler 's draft guide and I learned four of the top cornerback prospects had fathers who played in the NFL.

NFL Draft Odds 2021: Over/Under for CBs Selected in Round 1
With the number of cornerbacks drafted in Round 1 fluctuating each year, there's no telling how many will go this year until it happens. Still, teams that need cornerbacks should be happy to know that there's a plethora of talent at the position that'll be available in the first round.
Cornerbacks like Virginia Tech's Caleb Farley or South Carolina's Jaycee Horn could be taken in the top-15 and no one would bat an eye. You also have Alabama CB Patrick Surtain II, who had an 89.9 overall PFF grade last season, making him one of the highest-graded players at his position. That's not even mentioning Florida State CB Asante Samuel Jr. or Northwestern's Greg Newsome, who both have the potential to go somewhere in Round 1.
You could easily make the case for any of the aforementioned cornerbacks or even one or two more to be taken in Round 1. Now, whether the total reaches six or more is anyone's guess as it could require a team to reach on someone who's being projected to be taken in a later round. Regardless, the talent is there to make it happen.
