FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Zion Williamson Fantasy
Target Zion Williamson, PF, New Orleans Pelicans ($10,000): Zion Williamson is on a tear as of late heading into a favorable matchup. He's averaging 53.8 FanDuel fantasy points over his last four contests, putting up 32.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game, all of which outpace his season averages (26.8/7.2/3.7). Now he'll face the Washington Wizards, who are giving up the second-most PPG (118.6) and fourth-most RPG (54.9). Zion is not only a double-double threat tonight; he has the potential for a truly monstrous performance.
Jonas Valanciunas Fantasy
Target Jonas Valanciunas, C, Memphis Grizzlies ($8,400): Memphis Grizzlies big man Jonas Valanciunas continues to be a source of dependable fantasy production down low no matter the matchup. He's registered at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last five games, securing a double-double in each of those contests. One of those games was against these same Chicago Bulls, when he went for 26 points and 14 rebounds, outplaying his counterpart in Nikola Vucevic. It'd be smart to side with Valanciunas' hot hand on Friday against a Bulls defense that's giving up the 10th-most PPG this season.
Michael Porter Jr. Fantasy
Target Michael Porter Jr., SF, Denver Nuggets ($7,400): Michael Porter Jr.'s numbers have been rising recently as Jamal Murray was sidelined and is now out for the season. MPJ has scored 20-plus points in five of his last six contests and notched a double-double in four games during that stretch as well. He's showcased that he's ready to step up as a contributor with Murray now out long-term, which is great news for his fantasy outlook going forward. Porter should feast against a Houston Rockets team giving up the sixth-most PPG (114.8) and most RPG (56.5) this season.
Karl-Anthony Towns Fantasy
Avoid Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($11,100): Karl-Anthony Towns is the second-most expensive player on Friday's slate and he's usually worth the pricetag. However, he has two factors going against him tonight. One, he just missed two games due to personal reasons and could have some rust to work off in his first game since April 11. More concerning is his matchup against Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat. Miami is no pushover on the boards (allowing 51.6 per game) and holds opponents to the third-fewest PPG (107.5). Towns may struggle to get it going against this intimidating defense and a worthy frontcourt match in Adebayo.
Luka Doncic Fantasy
Avoid Luka Doncic, PG, Dallas Mavericks ($10,200): Luka Doncic is known for explosive nights, and his season average of 50.8 fantasy points highlights that. However, Doncic has managed 50-plus fantasy points in just two of his last 12 games. That's concerning heading into a game against the New York Knicks. The Knicks are the best defense in the league this season, holding opponents to the fewest PPG (104.2) and lowest field goal percentage (44.2%) in the association. With the Knicks' ability to keep teams from scoring and Doncic not having registered even a double-double since March 15, it's hard to see him living up to the pricetag.
