NBA Championship Odds Favor Bucks, Celtics, Suns After Day 1 of Free Agency on FanDuel Sportsbook

The NBA offseason has kicked into high gear with free agency negotiations officially opening Thursday evening. There have been a flurry of reported signings and trade rumors involving contending teams as they look to improve ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA championship odds favor the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns -- all of whom are +600 -- after the first day of free agency talks. They're followed closely by the defending champion Golden State Warriors (+650) and Los Angeles Clippers (+700).

Milwaukee had a productive first day of free agency, re-signing Bobby Portis, Wesley Matthews and Jevon Carter while also adding veteran sharpshooter Joe Ingles.

Boston and Phoenix didn't ink anyone free agents on Thursday, but they could have their eyes on a bigger move as Kevin Durant has requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets. Durant listed Phoenix as one of his preferred destinations, which could have a direct impact on the future of restricted free agent Deandre Ayton.

The Warriors saw a couple of notable departures on Thursday, as defensive wizard Gary Payton II left for the Portland Trail Blazers, and Juan Toscano-Anderson agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Clippers, meanwhile, moved quickly as 6 p.m. ET struck, re-signing Nicolas Batum, Isaiah Hartenstein and Amir Coffey.
