Myles Gaskin COVID Update Saves Week 15 Fantasy Outlook

The Miami Dolphins are getting healthier in the backfield heading into a divisional matchup against the New York Jets in Week 15. Running back Myles Gaskin was activated off the COVID list on Friday and is now on track to play Sunday. This development obviously saves his fantasy outlook this week.

Myles Gaskin Fantasy Outlook
Gaskin was originally placed on the COVID list after testing positive last week. However, he is vaccinated and has since been able to provide negative tests conducted 24 hours apart. It is great news for a Dolphins' offense that might be without dynamic rookie wideout Jaylen Waddle.
The third-year pro has quietly become a workhorse for this offense, seeing at least 14 carries in each of his last five games played. In fact, Gaskin ranks as the No. 11 RB in PPR scoring leagues over the course of his last three games thanks to 3 touchdowns and a combined 197 yards from scrimmage.
A matchup against a poor Jets' defense gives Gaskin a perfect opportunity to keep his momentum going. The Jets have posted Football Outsiders' second-worst rush defense DVOA rating in the NFL and are allowing the most PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs. Simply put, Gaskin could be in for a big day.
Fantasy managers should keep an eye on any updates regarding Gaskin's status before kickoff, but he is a solid RB2 assuming he suits up.
