Game 1: Philadelphia Phillies (-102) vs. New York Mets, 7:10 p.m. EST

Jake Arrieta beat the New York Mets in his last start, scattering six hits over 8 innings while giving up two runs, something that seems to be the norm for the right-hander. He not only pitches well against the Mets in his career – 2.33 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 11 starts – but also at tonight's venue, Citi Field, where he has a 2.96 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in four starts. For the Mets, starter Steven Matz has never won against the Phillies, going 0-3 with a 5.96 ERA and a 1.68 WHIP in six career starts versus Philadelphia.

Game 2: Texas Rangers (+128) vs. Oakland Athletics, 10:07 p.m. EST

Mike Minor could be the difference tonight and this is just the first of his two starts this week. Minor comes into Monday's game in Oakland with a 2-1 record, a 2.60 ERA and 22 Ks in 27 2/3 innings. In the lone start of his career at Oakland Coliseum, he threw six shutout innings while striking out four and giving up a single hit on his way to a win last August. Another win could be in the cards against the A's and starter Chris Bassitt, who makes his season debut this evening.
