Facing your old team can often create a mixture of emotions for professional athletes. Some players get sentimental about it, while others feel extra motivation to beat their old friends in a "revenge game."

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick is set to face his former team in Week 7, but it doesn't sound like he's harboring any bad feelings.

With Pittsburgh traveling to Miami this week, Fitzpatrick said he'll "definitely be nostalgic" against the Dolphins. Miami drafted Fitzpatrick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft before trading him to the Steelers early in the 2019 campaign.

Fitzpatrick, now 25 and a two-time Pro Bowler, feels that he's grown a lot since his early days with the Dolphins. “I’m a lot different player, a lot more mature in my game, feel like I’m better athletically," he told ESPN's Brooke Pryor. The numbers bear that out, as Fitzpatrick is now regarded as one of the top safeties in the game.

While Fitzpatrick missed Week 6 against the New England Patriots with a knee injury, he expects to return for Pittsburgh's road tilt on Sunday. He'll try to give the Steelers' defense a boost and help them upset the Dolphins as 7-point underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
