The Philadelphia Eagles have been ravaged by injuries on offense this season, and things only got worse on Sunday. Star running back Miles Sanders has been downgraded to out due to a knee injury.

If Sanders is forced to miss any time, Boston Scott would see a significant uptick in fantasy value.

Miles Sanders Injury Update

Sanders looked to be on his way to a huge day before exiting with the injury. He had turned 9 carries into 118 rushing yards, most of which came on a 74-yard scamper.

There's nothing concrete as to Sanders' status for a Week 6 matchup with the New York Giants, but being ruled out as early as he was is never a good sign. His status will be important to monitor going forward.

Boston Scott Fantasy Outlook

Scott hasn't been involved much today, turning 3 touches into 4 yards. He'd likely start seeing some significant volume if Sanders is ruled out next week, though.

He also had some pretty impressive moments down the stretch last season. Scott turned 16 touches into 128 yards from scrimmage against the Giants in Week 14 last year, and he'd be facing them in a big role once again next week if Sanders is ruled out.

Still, given how ineffective Philadelphia's offense has looked on the year, it'll be tough to view Scott as anything more than a FLEX option in Week 7 even if Sanders is ruled out.
