Wide receiver Julio Jones gave the Tennessee Titans a scare early in training camp after he left practice with a possible leg injury. However, the issue was revealed as nothing major and he even returned to practice recently after a lengthy absence.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel provided an update on how Jones is doing with preseason play in the rearview.
Julio Jones Injury Update
Vrabel mostly skirted around saying anything definitive, but all appears to be positive. The team hopes things "continue to trend" in the right direction, so that indicates there's been no setbacks since Jones returned to the practice field.
It doesn't sound like Vrabel is guaranteeing the veteran to suit in Week 1, though that appears to be the expectation as long as nothing pops up.
Jones' health will be a huge story throughout the year given his injury troubles in 2020. The star wideout being at peak performance would unlock a whole new level for an offense that already boasts weapons like A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry.
