Mecole Hardman Fantasy Outlook Suggests Boom-or-Bust Value in 2020

Mecole Hardman received a lot of hype last year, but he never totally came through. When Tyreek Hill went down in Week 1, everyone assumed the rookie Hardman would pick up the slack, but he never caught more than 4 passes in a single game while Hill was sidelined.
Still, the speedster has some undeniable upside heading into his second year.

Mecole Hardman Fantasy Football Outlook
Hardman currently carries an average draft position (ADP) of WR50, per FantasyPros, making him a low-risk option.
His end-of-year numbers might not've been great, but he was pretty efficient with the limited looks. Hardman averaged 20.7 yards per reception and scored 7 touchdowns on just 41 targets, though one of those scores came via punt return.
He also has a real shot to increase his role. Sammy Watkins has already taken a pay cut and gotten banged up this offseason. It wouldn't be too shocking if Hardman surpassed him on the depth chart.

That boom-or-bust outlook also makes him a particularly strong pick in best ball drafts, where you get to capture all of his "boom" weeks without the risk that you get a dud when you start him.
Entering year two in one of the league's best offenses with a potentially expanded role, Hardman is a nice value at his current ADP. We have him ranked as the No. 83 overall player in our 2020 fantasy football rankings.
