Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay Fantasy Outlook Falling for Thanksgiving Day With David Blough at QB

On Thanksgiving, the Detroit Lions host the Chicago Bears in the first game of the day. The Bears are a tough matchup to begin with, but due to the quarterback situation for Detroit, wide receivers Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay could be in for an especially rough day.

Matthew Stafford is again out with back injury in this one. In Stafford's absence, Jeff Driskel has filled in nicely, but due to a hamstring injury, he too will be sidelined on Thursday. Instead, undrafted rookie David Blough will be making his first NFL start, on a short week, against the Chicago Bears.

This Bears defense is likely to bring a ton of pressure at the inexperienced quarterback, looking to rattle him early. This, in turn, lowers the fantasy value of the two top receivers for Detroit.

During the first matchup against Chicago, with Driskel at quarterback, Jones led the team in receiving, catching five passes for 77 yards. Golladay caught three passes for 57 yards, but a touchdown saved his fantasy day. While the Lions are at home, the undrafted rookie throwing them the ball reduces the ceiling of both Jones and Golladay against Chicago.

In our Week 13 PPR rankings, Golladay is ranked as WR27 for the week, while Jones is unranked.
