Mariners Get Good News on Marco Gonzales Injury Update

The Seattle Mariners are currently hovering a bit below .500, but it looks like help is on the way. Marco Gonzales, who hasn't appeared since late April, will start on Tuesday, June 1 at home against the Oakland Athletics.
This is a big boost for a Mariners team that could really use one, having lost seven of their past 10 games.
Servais said Marco Gonzales will start the game on June 1 and pitch 3-4 innings.

Marco Gonzales Injury Update
Gonzales has made five starts this year, and he didn't exactly impress. In 28 1/3 innings pitched, the lefty sports a 5.40 ERA and a 1.341 WHIP. But if he looks anything like he did in 2020, his return could be huge.
Last year, Gonzales had a 7-2 record with a 3.10 ERA in 11 starts and 69 2/3 innings pitched.
Having that arm back in the rotation could help the third-place Mariners make a mid-season run in the AL Central. FanDuel Sportsbook currently gives Seattle +5500 odds to win the AL West.
