Louis Oosthuizen entered the week among the favorites to win the 2021 Open Championship. He awas tied for eighth in the odds to win the event, at +2200.

He got out to a blistering start, shooting 6-under in Round 1 to take a lead ahead of Brian Harman and Jordan Spieth (each 5-under).

FanDuel Sportsbook's Open Championship odds now have Oosthuizen tied with Spieth as the favorite to win the event at +480.

There are still some golfers remaining in Round 1, but Oosthuizen is a commanding -550 favorite to finish the day as the Round 1 leader.

Oosthuizen previously won The Open in 2010 and finished T-2 in 2015 — both times at St. Andrews.
