Los Angeles Clippers Open 2019-20 NBA Season as Favorites to Win Championship

The Los Angeles Clippers will officially open the 2019-20 NBA season as the favorites to win the championship, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Heading into their opening night battle against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Clippers have +350 odds to take home the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

Since signing Kawhi Leonard and trading for Paul George, the Clippers have been the favorite even though George isn't expected to suit up until November. The Lakers have the second best odds at +440, with their own superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis catapulting them toward the top of the list of favorites this season.

Rounding out the top five in championship odds are the Milwaukee Bucks (+600), Philadelphia 76ers (+750) and Houston Rockets (+800). The Bucks and 76ers will likely duke it out for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Rockets will trot out a backcourt of James Harden and Russell Westbrook – an interesting experiment involving the two players with the highest usage rates from last season.

With so much change this offseason, the NBA landscape looks very different from what it was just a year ago. But, as of opening night, the Clippers are the favorites to win the franchise's first title with 82 left to be played.
