The New Orleans Saints entered the 2021 NFL offseason in a salary cap conundrum and ... they're still in one. However, the team had made a flurry of moves in recent days to cut down its roster costs, including contract restructuring and cuts.

With that in mind, here's the full list of cap-cutting moves New Orleans has recently made.

New Orleans Saints Cap Space

The Saints are currently $59.4 million over the cap, assuming a $185 million cap for the 2021 season, according to Spotrac. New Orleans still has a way to go to get under, but they've already shaved off over $40 million with a slew of tactics.

Saints Roster Moves

1. Drew Brees Contract Renegotiation

This move freed up nearly $24 million in space after restructuring Brees' base salary to be around the league minimum for 2021.

2. Cut Nick Easton

Cutting offensive lineman Nick Easten saved almost $6 million in cap space.

3. Roll Over Unspent Cap Space

New Orleans has applied $4.1 million in unspent cap space from the 2020 season to 2021, cutting down their bill.

4. David Onyemata Contract Restructure

By converting some of David Onyemata's 2021 salary into a signing bonus, it opened up about $4.3 million in cap space.

5. Waived Jason Vander Laan and Cole Wick

Both players opted out of the 2020 season, and waiving them before the 2021 campaign saved the Saints around $1.2 million.

6. Released Josh Hill

Releasing tight end Josh Hill cleared about $2.5 million from the Saints' books.

7. Will Lutz Contract Restructure

By coverting the majority of kicker Will Lutz's base salary into a signing bonus, it'll save about $1.7 million in cap space.
