It doesn't look promising for Tampa Bay Buccaneers' running back Leonard Fournette as he sat out practice again on Thursday while recovering from an ankle injury. The Buccaneers face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4 NFL action and Fournette's status remains up in the air.

If Fournette is unable to suit up for the game, Ronald Jones is expected to get even more work than usual as the clear-cut starting running back on the team.

Ronald Jones Fantasy Outlook

Some fantasy managers expected Jones to work as the backup running back moving forward this season after he had a poor showing in Week 2 while Fournette dominated, but that wasn't the case in Week 3. Jones played 52 percent of the offensive snaps and saw 15 touches compared to Fournette's nine in a win over the Denver Broncos.

Without Fournette, Jones is a solid RB3 option this week in fantasy football and a great option to throw into your FLEX position. Don't expect his numbers to jump off the page, but he will be able to produce more than usual given the amount of touches he is set to receive.

Jones could be a great under-the-radar start this week if Fournette is unable to play.
